Xavier School is deeply saddened by the untimely departure of Francis Matthew Ty who would have been a Grade Six student this school year. He joined our Creator on May 25, 2010.

In a message posted by Fr. Art Borja, SJ, School Chaplain, he shared this statement from Matthew’s  mother Alice: “Our dear Matthew was embraced by our Heavenly Father at around 3 pm today. Please continue to pray for him and for our family.” His remains lie in state at Arlington Memorial (Hope Chapel), Araneta Ave., Quezon City. Interment will be on Sunday, May 30.

The school community extends its heartfelt sympathies to the Ty family. As one community, let us pray for the eternal repose of Matthew’s soul.

I feel for Matthew’s parents. I can not describe the feeling when I lost my son too.

I pray that God will continue to give the parents the strength in facing this very sad moment in their lives.
