Xaverian is Most Outstanding Swimmer in Hong Kong Meet

Xavier student Alfonso Jose Bautista wins MOST OUTSTANDING 12-year old swimmer in the HONG KONG Mantas Invitational Swimming Competition held last April 24 and 25 ,2010 at the Shing Moon Valley Stadium Tsuen Wan Hong Kong.

Alfonso, an in coming grade 7 student of Xavier School won a total of five golds and five silvers to bag the best 12-year old swimmer, besting swimmers from People’s Republic of China, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Japan. His five golds were from the following events: 50-meter freestyle, 100-meter butterfly, 50-meter breaststroke, 50-meter back stroke and 200-meter Individual Medley.

This young Filipino athlete is currently a swimmer of the varsity team of Xavier School and the Philippine Columbian Association Stingray Team. He will represent the Philippines this coming June 3 to June 6 in the Southeast Asian Age Competition. Good luck to Alfonso! May you bring glory to God, our country, and Xavier School!
