Batch 85 Holds Transport Show

batch85.jpegLast May 4, 2010, Xavier School Batch 85’s Luceat Lux Foundation signed a contract with Trade Show International to be the event organizer for “OUR RIDES, The Air, Land & Sea Family Transport Show” to be held July 3 and 4, 2010 in the Xavier School campus grounds. This event will be the first of its kind which will be held in a school campus and with activities and attractions for every member of the family in any age bracket. The event will begin early on July 3 with a mina-biathlon (running and biking), OUR RACE, which is open to all ages and gender. The main attraction would be its display of various helicopters, cars, sea crafts and more. There will be food fairs (in cooperation of ICA Eagles 85), silent auctions, video gaming, driving exhibitions, art competition, concerts and bazaars among others.
The contract was signed between Francisco Tiu-Laurel, Jr. (AAXS Batch 85 Rep), Marcel Chiu (Our Rides Project Head), Jade Bernas (Luceat Lux Foundation President), Diosdado Ng (Luceat Lux Foundation Treasurer and AAXS Trustee), and Sophie de los Santos (Trade Show International President).

This event is part of the celebration of 50 years of the Alumni Association of Xavier School and 25 years of XS Batch 85, moving towards the Grand Alumni Homecoming (The Blue and The Gold: OUR HOUSE) in November. The series of events was launched last February with the highly successful OUR TIME: An 80’s Party joint activity with ICA Eagles 85. The next event will be OUR TEE: The AAXS Golf Tournament in September. Proceeds of all events are for the benefit of the different benevolent funds supported by the Alumni Association of Xavier School like the XSETF and the MAB.
