It has been a long held fact that Xavier has never had a lack of talents in the performing arts. These talents were once again showcased last February 26 at the Multi-Purpose Center for the much-anticipated A.M.D.G., an art exhibit and concert. Parents, students and teachers alike took time out from their busy schedules and flocked to the event for an afternoon of color and music.

img_0463.jpgA long list of performers was featured. Among them were the Choirs, the Puppetry Club, the Pop Singing Club, the Sign Language Club, and the TheatriXS Club. A number of selected students were also lined up. Among them were Ernest Alexander Maceda, Francis Daniel Guevara, Daniel Uy, and Karl Kopio.

The audience was impressed by the pieces performed by the clubs. Their members and moderators obviously put in a substantial amount of preparation into their performances. Everybody was also enthralled by the virtuoso performances of the soloists. There was no doubt that these individuals were truly gifted.

Everyone walked away genuinely appreciative of the performing arts talents that have been nurtured in Xavier and confident that the talents of more students will be developed and honed. We all look forward to more events like this that underscore how Xaverians are able to let their light shine, all for the greater glory of God.
