ondoy-relief-boxes.jpgDONATIONS DRIVE EXTENDED UP TO WEDNESDAY SEP. 30, 6:00 PM. Following the devastation wrought by storm “Ondoy,” the Campus Ministry has mobilized the XS community to help the thousands of families displaced by massive floods all over Metro Manila. Since Sunday, the school has been receiving donations at the MPC and will continue until Monday.

ondoy-relief-food.jpgHelped by volunteer students, teachers, and parents, the school has packed over 5,400 bags of food stuff, bottled water, and several boxes of clothes and other necessities. These have gone to help the relief efforts of Sambayanang Lingkod ng Bayan (ADMU), to the affected residents of Little Baguio (through Bgy. Captain Allan Silvano) and four other San Juan communities, and to Mt. Carmel Parish.

ondoy-relief-tally-board.jpgAs of Sunday evening, the school also has raised P177,000 in cash. XS community members here and abroad may also donate online via credit card. Log on to myayala.com/sjph and write “xs4ondoy” in the “I would like to donate to” field.

The school is still welcoming donations of food, water, clothes, blankets, and cash; plus plastic bags for repacking until today, Monday. Today’s donations will be earmarked for residents around ERDA Tech in Pandacan, and to affected communities in Tondo.

We encourage everyone in the community to help in whatever way they can, and to continue praying for the flood victims. Thank you.
