Axel Ngui Medals in International Swim Meet

Xavier’s swimming sensation, Axel Ngui, recently competed in the 2009 Indian Ocean All-Stars Challenge (April 11-12) in Australia with an impressive medal haul of 5 golds, 2 silvers, and 2 bronzes. Axel, an incoming junior, competed in the MEN 15-16 bracket. He competed as a guest member of the San Beda swimming team that represented the Philippines. The Philippines was part of a larger contingent from Asia that competed against Australia.

Gold, 50 meter Backstroke
Gold, 200 meter Freestyle
Gold, 100 meter Freestyle
Gold, 200 meter Freestyle Medley
Gold, 200 meter Freestyle Relay
Silver, 400 meter Freestyle
Silver, 200 meter Backstroke
Bronze, 50 meter Freestyle
Bronze, 100 meter Backstroke

Congratulations Axel! Way to go! I saw you just recently, last Thursday actually, but I think you didn’t recognize me because I was wearing the yellow Xavier PE shirt.
