Batch meetings and two miting de avances were recently conducted to allow the high school students to familiarize themselves with the candidates gunning for next school year’s Student Council Executive Board.H1 Miting de Avance

Last February 18, 2009 after the Wednesday general assembly, candidates for the positions of President, Internal Vice-President, External Vice-President, and Administrative Officer delivered speeches, some of them with accompanying slideshows, to give students a better idea of what they represent.

The Student Council Commission on Elections (COMELEC) had asked the candidates to prepare a speech no longer than three minutes to answer the question, “Why are you running for the position, and what do you plan to do if elected?”H1 Miting de Avance

A week earlier, on February 11, this same question had been answered by the candidates for Senior, Junior, and Sophomore Batch Representative in their respective batch meetings.

Also, last February 25, after the Mass in observance of Ash Wednesday, a special miting de avance was conducted for the candidate running for the position of Administrative Officer, which has been left vacant after the first round of elections.
