A Colorful Celebration to Welcome the Year of the Ox

Xavier School greeted the year of the Ox last Tuesday, January 27. The celebrations started with an institutional Mass at the sports center main gymnasium. It was conducted in Chinese by Fr. Aristotle Dy, SJ, who was on a holiday break from his studies in Hong Kong. The program was held right after at the GS quadrangle.

img_6625.jpgThe program was emceed by Antonio Rafael Chiongbian Punzalan (G7H) and Ping Choi Chung (H4). The features presentations were the lion/dragon dance, a calisthenics performance by Unit 1, a modern dance number by G2, a song number by Christopher Yu (H4B), and a wushu exhibition by G7 XCE students and the Xavier Wushu Club.  The show was capped by a riotous dance number led by Dance X and the singing of the school song in Chinese.
