Celebrating the Feast of St. Ignatius

Feast of St. Ingatius 07On July 27, 2007, the entire school community celebrated the feast day of St. Ignatius of Loyola.

Feast of St. Ingatius 07There was a Mass held at the Fr. Rafael Cortina quadrangle-level courts, attended by students from Gr. 4 - H4. The Mass was concelebrated by Fr. Johnny Go, Fr. Art Borja, and Fr. Guy Guibelondo. This is the first opportunity this school year for the school to celebrate the Holy Eucharist as one institution. In his homily, Fr. Go reflected on St. Ignatius’ habit of praying under the stars to better appreciate the wondrous gifts of the Lord. (click here for the homily)

The younger grade levels also celebrated the feast day in separate and simultaneous paraliturgies. The feast of St. Ignatius falls on July 31, which, as has been school tradition, was declared a school holiday.
