Samutsaring Pagbabahagi ng Kaalaman at Kasanayan sa KAB Scout

kab-scout-1.jpgThe Grade Three Kab Scouts had the pleasure of having some of the parents join them in an exciting and fun-filled activity last Friday, August 22, 2008.

For about an hour, the parents demonstrated and taught the boys different crafts.

In 3-A, Mrs. Guevarra taught Chinese painting to the boys who watched her intently. Thereafter, two boys tried their hands on their newly acquired skill and did a really good job of it!

kab-scout-2.jpgMrs. Dychiao and Mrs. Wee engaged the boys of 3-B and 3-D by telling the story of how halo-halo came about. Of course, the highlight of the event was when the boys were asked to make their own halo-halo and eat them afterwards.

kab-scout-3.jpgMeanwhile, Mrs. Tan and Mrs. Ruiz completed the day of the 3-I boys with their version of the Cheese maki. In fact, one child was heard saying, “Teacher, this is really so good! You need to try it!”

kab-scout-6.jpgIn 3-E, Mr. and Mrs. Cheng demonstrated how liquid soap is made. The boys watched intently as they saw the process unfolding. When the soap was ready to be used, the students patiently lined up and had a drop of soap poured onto their hands. They immediately proceeded to the bathroom to try out the new product which, by the way, also smelled really good.

kab-scout-4.jpgIn line with arts and crafts, Mrs. Yambao and Mrs. Ong, as well as Mrs. Perez of 3-C and 3-F respectively, taught the boys the art of decorating and wrapping presents. It was interesting to see these boys so focused on the task at hand. Who would have thought that these boys can actually accomplish such tasks that they do not normally do?

kab-scout-8.jpgOn the other hand, Mrs. Siy and Mrs. Ang taught the boys of 3-G how to make their own lighthouses out of plastic containers and flashlights. The boys demonstrated teamwork and were able to complete the task with flying colors.

kab-scout-5.jpgLastly, Mrs. Co, who is a professional photographer, showed the children different kinds of cameras and shared her experiences as a photographer. The boys of 3-H enthusiastically listened and were impressed by the presentation.

kab-scout-7.jpgSuch experiences will surely be memorable for these children. The Grade3 team would like to thank the parents who took time out from their busy schedules to spend time with the children.

Special thanks should also be given to Mrs. Gina Altares for making this activity possible. Here’s looking forward to more exciting and fun-filled activities to come in KAB Scouting!
