H1 Batch Representative CandidatesThe High 1 Batch elected Vincent Floro as the Freshman Batch Representative in an election conducted last June 27. Vincent bested two other candidates for the post.

The election had originally been scheduled for June 25, but the suspension of classes last June 23 prompted the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) to move the election two days later. 224 of 274 freshmen participated in the election for an 81.75% voter turnout. COMELEC Chairperson Iroca Co found the turnout to be satisfactory.Photo by: Ryan Chua, Stallion Photographer

In a Miting de Avance conducted last June 25, after the high school general assembly, the candidates for the post were given the opportunity to present their platforms. Floro, who seemed to have won over his batch with his confidence and honesty, ended his speech with the following quote: “Reputation can open doors, but a good character can keep them open.”

The oath taking for Student Council officers, class officers, and COMELEC commissioners will take place on July 2.
