H1-H3 Awardees

Last June 18, 2008, the High School gave recognition to exemplary students during the Annual Reading of Honors. The program began with an opening prayer led by the Campus Minister, Fr. Guy Guibelondo, S.J. and was followed by the HS Principal’s welcoming address.

The two highest awards, the Xavier and Magis Awards, were presented by the two assistant principals while Mrs. Jane Cacacho and Fr. Johnny Go, S.J. handed the medals to the students.

The Xavier Award is given to students who “embody to an outstanding degree the ideals that Xavier seeks to develop in its students.” The Xavier awardees from last school year are:

Gov. Dakila Carlo Cua of Xavier Batch ’95 graced the occasion and imparted an inspiring message to the awardees and the whole student body. He distinguished being a man of success from being a man of value and challenged his fellow Xaverians to become the latter.

His speech was followed by the distribution of awards to those who excelled in academic and non-academic fields. Mr. Frederick Perez, H1 and H2 Team Leader, Mrs. Fides Abad, SAP Coordinator, and Mr. Mon del Prado, H3 and H4 Team Leader, read the names of the other awardees from H1 to H3.
Filipino teachers, Bro. Atoy Salazar, S.J. and Ms Tina Martinez, served as masters of ceremonies.

Congratulations to all the awardees! May they continue to let their light shine and inspire others to do the same.
