Welcome Address by Kendrick Kyle Chua Santos (Xavier Awardee)

Delivered by Xavier Awardee Kendrick Kyle Chua Santos during the GS Graduation Ceremonies, March 25, 2008.

We should always remember that perseverance, hard work and discipline will surely help us face life’s obstacles and challenges. Today, we are bidding farewell to our grade school life and moving on to a more challenging life, High school. Let us always stand firm and be proud of our achievements.. This closing ceremony is not the end of our problems and journey in life, but this is the start of a new chapter. We hope that we continue this great job that we have started and always strive to do better

Beloved Jesuit Fathers, school administrators, teachers and staff, the grade school grade 7 class of 2008 stands before you today. We stand firm with the knowledge, values and principles that you have imparted to us these past nine years. Keep us always in your prayers as we keep you always in our hearts, and hope that we are able to grow as responsible youth of this community through your help. Pray that we remain true and dedicated Xaverians to keep the ideals of our school.

Dear parents, we are proud to share with you the fruits of our hard work to finally prove that we are ready to move on to High school. We present to you the diploma that we are about to receive, as a sign of our success. This is the result of your lifelong love and sacrifice so that we can study here in Xavier school. We promise to continue to do our part in fulfilling our duties as your children and as students of this school.

Honoured guests, beloved parents, school administrators, dear teachers and staff, on behalf of the Grade School Class 2007-2008, I thank you all for being part of this memorable celebration. We welcome you to the 2008 Xavier grade school Closing Ceremony. Let us always remember to be Men for Others as we let our own light shine. Luceat Lux!
