Four Xaverians Break Swim Records at National Meet

Four Xavier School swimmers  broke meet records in the recently concluded Palarong Pambansa held in Tarlac in April 2010. These are Alfonso Bautista, Jeremy Lim, Christian Limsui and Axel Ngui. Alfonso Bautista won a total of three golds overall for Xavier and NCR. Congratulations to our Xavier student athletes!

UP Team with Raymund Li (05) Wins Top Prize in CFA Global Investment Research Challenge

The UP CBA team composed of 5th year BS Business Administration & Accountancy (BS BAA) including Xavier alumnus Raymund Siegfrid LIi from Class 2005, and fellow students Pamela Li, Jose Mari Punzalan, Rachelle Denise Sison, and Choerleen Bianca Solema won the Global  Championship at the 2010 Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute “4th Global Investment Research Challenge (GIRC)” held last April 17, 2010 at the Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel & Towers in Hong Kong. Tribute to Fr. Santiago Leon, SJ: Our Good Shepherd

This homily was delivered by Fr. Johnny Go, SJ on 24 April 2010, at the wake of Fr. Santiago Leon, SJ, at the Andechaga Hall, Mary the Queen Parish. The funeral Mass is scheduled on Tuesday, April 27, 8:00 a.m.

I remember the very first time I met Fr. Leon. I was still in first year high school when after school dismissal one day, I was as usual waiting in Mary the Queen for my sister to come out of ICA. Suddenly out of nowhere appeared this Spanish priest who beamed at me, and inhis thick Spanish accent, invited me along with a classmate, an FCCY member, into his office for a chat. Fr. Jhaw’s Ordination

The Jesuit scholastic known as Bro. Jhaw, who taught Filipino for two years in Xavier High School, is now Fr. Joseph Haw, SJ.  He was ordained a priest last April 18, Saturday, along with six other Jesuits.
