Homecoming 09 Offers Mini Cooper Raffle Prize

The 2009 XS Grand Alumni Homecoming will raffle off a brand new Mini Cooper as the grand prize. The raffle ticket costs P2,500 and includes free entrance, meal and drinks. You may purchase tickets from your batch representative or at the AAXS office. Reminder: only fully paid tickets will be eligible for the draw that includes several attractive minor prizes. Enjoy the Pacquiao-Cotto Fight with Fellow Alumni

firepower.jpgThe AAXS will be holding a live screening  of the eagerly anticipated Pacquiao - Cotto boxing match on Nov. 15, 2009, 8:00 am, at the Angelo King Multi-Purpose Center. Tickets are priced at P500 per head, inclusive of drinks. The proceeds are earmarked for the Fr. Mena, Fr. Papilla, and Fr. Cortina funds. 1800H - Disaster Rescue Task Unit under the Philippine Marine Ready Force was put under alert status for possible deployment in flooded areas. Since this was a normal thing for us (we are usually deployed to the CAMANAVA areas), I went home and left instructions with the team leader Lt Col Eric Nicanor to prepare the rubber boats, refuel the amphibians, and deploy as instructed, and to call me if they needed my help. Batch 79 hosted an appreciation dinner for man-of-the-hour, Col. Ernesto Ravina (79), who played a leading role in the rescue and relief efforts for the thousands affected by Typhoons Ondoy and Pepeng. The dinner, held last Oct. 15, at the Papilla Conference Room, was attended by 25 batch members and graced by former mentors, Fr. Ismael Zuloaga, Fr. Maximo Barbero, and Ms. Nelly Yu.
