NO CLASSES UNTIL FRIDAY: XS RELIEF EFFORTS TO INTENSIFY

logo-mono-color-gold_advisory.jpgThere will be no classes in Xavier School until this Friday, 02 October 2009.  This suspension of classes will allow those most  severely affected in our community to recover and rebuild their lives. Moreover, we want to encourage all to continue focusing their efforts this week to help in whatever way we can in the massive relief and rehabilitation work that is needed for hundreds of thousands of Filipinos.

Consequently, the drives donation launched by the school last Sunday will continue until tomorrow, Wednesday, 30 September, 6 pm.  We will need the support of our students, parents, alumni, and faculty and staff to volunteer and donate relief goods.

In this time of emergency, the call for the Xavier Community is solidarity and involvement.  As persons for others, we cannot stand by as indifferent witnesses. God bless the Xavier School community and our country.

XS Calamity Fund 4 Faculty

We are deeply saddened to report that over 50 of our faculty and staff have been severely affected by the floods brought by “Ondoy.” These are people whose houses were either totally or half-way submerged and suffered extensive damage or loss.

As they struggle to recover from this tragedy, Xavier School is extending relief goods, and financial and manpower support to those of our own community who are most in need of assistance.   Members of the Xavier Community who would like to help our faculty and staff, cash donations are most welcome. Please make check donations payable to Xavier School - Calamity Fund for Faculty or contribute online by logging on to myayala.com/sjph and type  ”xs4ondoy” in the “I want to donate to” field and indicate in the remarks box that “This donation is for XS faculty and staff.”

We wish to thank the hundreds of volunteers and donors who have so far contributed to the ongoing relief campaign for the victims of “Ondoy” and we urge everyone to continue in their support and prayers.
