Highlights of the 24th Service Recognition

This year’s tribute to the service awardees took on a more glamorous look as the “red carpet” theme came alive in the stylish videos and formal wear of the honorees. The program started with a lively dance number by members of the Grade School faculty and was highlighted by witty banter between the “coupled” emcees and by cinematic video clips. It may strike you as strange, but our gospel today reminds me of a funny story that someone told me the other day.   The joke’s about what happened to a popular teacher on Teachers’ Day.   Her students loved her and wanted to express how much they appreciated her, so the night before they all worked hard to prepare a special gift for this teacher.
