Lim Conquers the PJB Youth Quarterly

Winners in the PJB Youth Quarterly

He wanted to win one for Xavier before graduating and he finally got it just as he’s about to leave.

Xavier Bowling Team Captain Carl Matthew Lim (H4F) finally fulfilled one of his major bowling goals, winning the Gold Medal in Majors Division of the 2009 PJB Youth Quarterly Championships by defeating Paolo Darroca of La Salle Greenhills, 177 to 162, last February 15, 2009.   Lim earned the number one seed in the finals by bowling lines of 235, 206, 214, 212, 206 and 212 for a total of 1285 (214 average). Congratulations to our grade school Math contestants who placed in the sectoral finals (all NCR private schools) of the 2009 Metrobank MTAP DepEd Math Challenge held Saturday, February 21, 2009. The Start of the Lenten Season

Ash Wednesday marks the start of the Lenten Season. During this day, all Christians are invited to enter into the spirit of Lent through prayer, sacrifice (fast and abstinence), and most especially by acts of charity (almsgiving or good works).
